5 Senses Meditation

I’m not a great one for mind/body connection, but I’m always blown away by how much I’m actually experiencing all the time without even noticing it. When I actually slow down enough to pay attention, there is such a richness of experience to be observed by shifting my concentration from place to place. This is a great one for when I’m stressed out. Racing thoughts can make it really hard to focus on the breath, but dialing into my sensory experiences a) can be easier to stay dialed into, as a practical matter, and b) remind me that I am safe, right here, right now – nothing bad is actually happening, and I can just be for a few minutes, much to my relief.
